a.After we added zinc, the solution caused the zinc itself to start bubbling and fizzing, eating away at the zinc.

a. The CuCl2 solution was used up in order recover the Cu metal from the solution.
b. The CuCl2 solution into filtration, the zinc was left behind and desposed of, and the copper was recovered.
