Basketball Poems

Title: Pure Passion Thesis: Even thought both poems emphasize passion for basketball, the broken down and fragmented structure of "Slam, Dunk & Hook" completely contrasts the fluid nature of the single sentecne play by play in "Fast Break"; the contrast in the structure parallels the difference in the two poet's personal views of the game.

Extra Credit

Singapore has a population said to be 5m people. With a number so large, its land mass is not big enough to support all the inhabitants. With a water being an issue, the Singaporean government has fallen under the thought of using distilled water. Though the distillation process is costly, the government has teamed up with a German engineering company that claims they can cut the price range in half. Making distillation a reasonable idea. They are running one demonstration plant now, however the construction of the full plant has already begun and its on its way to changing the lives of many in Singapore.

Blog Question: For you, what has been the most valuable learning from summer Chemistry (and why)?

I think that my most valuable thing I learned from this summer chemistry course was responsibility. I feel like in order to be successful in this class, the key thing was responsibility. If it was doing homework every night and posting it on your blog. Or studying in order to do well on the quiz at the end of the week.  In this class there was  a lot of work that was pushed into six weeks, so responsibility was the greatest role in success, and learning.
